Announcements

1.       When the continuous alarm sounds you must evacuate the building by the nearest available fire exit. Members and visitors should proceed to the visitors’ car park at the front of the building and await further instructions (during office hours staff should proceed to their usual assembly point; outside of office hours proceed to the visitors’ car park). Please do not re-enter the building unless instructed to do so.

 

       In the event of a fire any person with a disability should be assisted in leaving the building.

Customer Satisfaction Survey - Headline Presentation from Leader of the Council

To receive a presentation from the Leader of the Council outlining the outcome of the recent customer satisfaction survey.

The Council is asked to consider and determine recommendations of a policy nature arising from the Executive Committee as follows:-

Public Space Protection Order - Dog Control pdf icon PDF 87 KB

At its meeting on 31 August 2022 the Executive Committee considered whether to implement the Public Space Protection Order relating to dog control and it was RECOMMENDED TO COUNCIL that the Public Space Protection Order relating to dog control be implemented under Section 59 of the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Ashchurch Rural Neighbourhood Plan to be Made Part of the Development Plan for Tewkesbury pdf icon PDF 104 KB

To consider making the Ashchurch Rural Neighbourhood Development Plan part of the Development Plan for Tewkesbury Borough; and todelegate to the Head of Development Services, in agreement with the Parish Council acting as the Qualifying Body, the correction of any minor errors such as spelling, grammar, typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the substantive content of the plan.

Changes to Committee Membership

In accordance with Rule of Procedure 2.1 the Corporate Director has exercised her delegated authority to approve the following changes to Committee Membership:  

 

Councillor Richard Smith has resigned from the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and been replaced by Councillor Clare Softley.

 

Councillor Clare Softley has resigned as Lead Member for Community and has been replaced by Councillor Mary Jordan who will also serve on the Executive Committee, Tewkesbury Garden Town Member Reference Panel, Transform Working Group and the Tewkesbury Community Safety Partnership as part of that Portfolio.

Separate Business

The Chair will move the adoption of the following resolution:

 

That under Section 100(A)(4) Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Staff Retention and Recruitment Proposal

(Exempt – Paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972  – Information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual and Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 – Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information))

 

To consider a proposal aimed at addressing the challenges of staff retention and recruitment.
